IEDR provides tools and energy-related data to renewable energy developers, Energy Transition innovators, and climate change stakeholders across New York State. In addition, IEDR is available to state, county, and municipal governments, researchers, and the public to guide policy, investments, operational decisions, and innovative business models. Easy access to accurate and standardized energy data through IEDR is key to making our electricity system cleaner, more resilient, and more affordable for everyone. IEDR plays a crucial role in allowing our state to become a global climate leader, helping us meet our goal of having 70% of the state’s electricity come from renewable sources by 2030. Above all, IEDR will benefit the public: Innovations developed using IEDR resources will result in lower energy prices, fewer outages, and more choices for New York energy customers.
